The ACS R8 processor adds the following feature enhancements
to the successful ACS R.7 Platform
Caller ID to Analog devices:
Network Clock Syncronization: Keeps system time accurate
by obtaining time from caller id information.
Name and Extension Display: Displays Extension name and
number on telephone set LCD
Absent Text Messaging w Inspect: Allows users to set
absent text displaying when they are out of the office
or away from their desk.
Hot Keypad Dialing: Allows users to dial telephone number
without lifting handset or pressing the speaker button.
Message Alert Notification: Visual indication of new
messages in a user mailbox.
Personalized Station Ringning: Allows users to set the
ring tone on their extension thereby allowing for easy
identifucation of which extension is ringing.
Integrated SMDI: Allows for support of 3rd party "CTI"
applications without the need for the optional PCMCIA
card.
Expanded Partner Messaging R7 Unified Messaging support:
Voicemail to email intergation via SMTP Server or MS Exchange
on Windows XP Pro.
SIP Trunking Support: Available via 3rd party gateway
devices (Multitech VOIP FX, Adtran 908, 924 gateways)
Automatic ACS R6 / R7 to R8 Translation conversion: Allows
backed up system programming from ACS R6 & 7 to be
converted to R8 making migrations from R.6 & 7 to
R8 less time consuming.
Software upgrades via PC Administration software: Eliminates
the need to purchase PCMCIA upgrade cards.
