Point Quick Reference Guides
Requirements:
Before you buy, check that you have the following Response
Point SP2 system requirements in place:
A working local area network (LAN) with Internet access.
One or more regular phone line(s) that can make and
receive external calls. Anything with a standard RJ-11
plug—just like your home phones—should work fine.
Response Point requires at least one PC run one of the
following system programs:
Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home Edition, with
Service Pack 2 (SP2)
Windows Vista®
Windows Server® 2003 R2 SP2 or later
Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 or later
NOTE: You can take advantage of additional phone system
features if you have multiple Windows PCs at each office
location.
A DHCP server to dynamically assign IP addresses to
new devices on your network. If you're like most small
offices, this is built into your router. If you're able
to connect a new PC and access the Internet without
trouble, you're probably OK.
Ethernet cabling to each location where you intend to
use the phones.
A monitor with screen resolution of at least 800x600.
To maximize mobility and customer connectivity features,
take advantage of Response Point integration with the
following programs to add and import contacts:
Microsoft Office Outlook Business Contact Manager
Windows Address Book (Windows XP)
Windows Contacts (Windows Vista)
Tip: A monitor resolution of at least 1024x768 is recommended.
